Stingy workplace rewards employee with rule-laden extra 10 minute break: 'Give at least 24hr notice'

One of the things that can be so demoralizing about the workplace is that it doesn't seem to offer that many rewards. Getting paid isn't the same as getting a yearly raise that is at least on par with inflation, and an impromptu pizza party isn't going to hide the fact that your boss is a nightmare to work under. Sometimes, the so-called incentives that jobs offer are more insulting than having your needs ignored completely, which may be why so many workplaces choose to do such things.

This is something that angered the people of Twitter recently when they came across a picture of a slip of paper claiming that the recipient had "won" an extra ten-minute break in their work day. To add insult to injury, this prize also came with plenty of stipulations. Sometimes it is an incident like this that will finally push you into looking for a new job.
